Privacy Policy

Neverchat is designed around proximity without exact location sharing. The app sends location updates to the Neverchat service so the service can determine whether friends are inside or outside their agreed circles. Friends do not see your exact coordinates.

Information used

  • Display name — used to identify you to friends you connect with.
  • Account and device tokens — used to keep your Neverchat account signed in and secure.
  • Location coordinates — sent to the Neverchat service to decide whether friends are inside or outside an agreed circle. Coordinates are not shown to friends.
  • Push notification token — used to deliver Neverchat notifications when enabled.
  • Purchase validation data — used only to confirm Neverchat Plus status with Apple.

Permissions used

  • Location — used to update your circle status and enable proximity-gated chat.
  • Camera — used only when you scan a friend invite QR code.
  • Microphone and Speech Recognition — used only when you dictate a chat message.
  • Notifications — used only for Neverchat alerts, such as friends entering your circle or new messages.
  • iCloud Key-Value Storage — used to help recover your Neverchat account on your Apple devices.

Data handling

  • No email address or phone number is required to create an account.
  • No third-party advertising SDKs.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking.
  • Friends receive circle status only, not your exact location.
  • Message history is stored locally on your device.
  • Server data is used to maintain accounts, friend connections, circle status, messaging, notifications, and purchase validation.

Your control

You can mute Neverchat, mute individual friends, remove friends, revoke permissions in iOS Settings, delete local app data by removing the app, or contact support for account-related questions.

Children

Neverchat is a general-audience communication app and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
