You can also report abuse or spam inside Neverchat from a friend's detail screen. Reports can include recent message text only when you choose to include it.

When reporting a problem, please include:

  • device model and iOS version
  • app version
  • steps to reproduce the issue
  • screenshots or a short screen recording if possible

Privacy Policy

Neverchat is designed around proximity without exact location sharing. The app uses location updates to decide whether friends are inside or outside their agreed circles. Friends do not see your map position, exact distance, or coordinates.

Information used

  • Display name — used to identify you to friends you connect with.
  • Account and device information — used to keep your Neverchat account signed in and secure.
  • Location updates — used to decide inside/outside circle status. Exact location is not shown to friends.
  • Push notification token — used to deliver Neverchat notifications when enabled.
  • Purchase validation data — used only to confirm Neverchat Plus status.
  • Abuse reports — used to review spam, harassment, or safety issues you report.

Permissions used

  • Location — used to update your circle status and enable proximity-gated chat.
  • Camera — used only when you scan a friend invite QR code.
  • Microphone and Speech Recognition — used only when you dictate a chat message.
  • Notifications — used only for Neverchat alerts, such as friends entering your circle or new messages.
  • iCloud — used to help recover your Neverchat account on your Apple devices.

Data handling

  • No email address or phone number is required to create an account.
  • No third-party advertising SDKs.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking.
  • Friends receive circle status only, not your exact location.
  • Messages are encrypted, and conversation history is kept on your device.
  • Neverchat may keep your own recent locations on your device to show you where past conversations and connections happened ("Connected near", "Last talked near"). These never leave your device and are never shared with anyone.
  • Message text is included in an abuse report only if you choose to include it.
  • Server data is used to maintain accounts, friend connections, circle status, notifications, purchases, and safety reports.

Your control

You can mute Neverchat, mute individual friends, report abuse or spam, block users, unfriend, revoke permissions in iOS Settings, delete your account in the app, or delete local app data by removing the app.

Children

Neverchat is a general-audience communication app and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
